Surgery

Joshua had his chemotherapy port removed from his chest yesterday March 11. The surgery lasted 45 minutes. The doctors said there were no problems. The doctor gave Deana the port so she could "scrapbook" the memory. We actually think we will string it onto his cancer necklace that the hospital started for him.

Joshua is doing very well. He seems to be in no pain or very little at all. He has not complained once!!! Thank you Lord!!

Joshua has another scan on April 21. We are praying for a second "clean" picture of his body.

God Bless you all this Easter on March 23. He is risen...He is risen INDEED!!!! Amen.

Praiseworthy Check Up

Note - Regardless of the circumstances and whatever will, can, or does happen in our life we serve a MIGHTY and LOVING GOD who sent his Son Jesus so that we might have life and have it abundantly.

Joshua had a CT scan on January 22. It was our 28 week check up. Joshua's body is clear of "spots" except for a few "spots" in the lungs.

From a historical stand point and other children who have had WILMS Tumor; the "spots" in the lungs are "most likely scar tissue from the cancer tumors being destroyed by radiation".

Joshua originally had several cancer tumors in his lungs. The chemotherapy had shrunk the "cancerous spots" before the radiation and the radiation eliminated all but a few of the larger spots. The spots have not grown any from the previous CT - this is very good news.

No More Chemo...YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joshua will have his port surgically removed from his chest in February (TBA).

We will keep you posted....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Where did December go???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

December had its bumps. The Johnston household got the flu. Joshua was denied a chemotherapy treatment because he was so sick. We had to go back the next week. The chemo made him sick again. We went to my parents house in Prineville for Christmas.

On January 7 Joshua had his last chemotherapy before his six month CT scan. He was only sick for about a day and a half.

The six month CT scan will be on January 22. Please pray for clean picture of his body. In November he had one spot left in his right lung.

If his lungs are clear we will be done with chemotherapy. The cancer will be considered in remission. We will then have scans every three months for six years.

We trust in a mighty God. HIS Bible is full of healing and we are trusting that the Lord has healed Joshua. "Some trust in chariots and some horses but we trust in the Lord God Almighty!"

God's got an army not afraid to fight...Let's hear a war cry across the land on January 22. God Bless all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just an Update

Sorry for the long delay.

Joshua had Chemo on November 19. He stopped throwing up on Thanksgiving morning. Just in time to have Pumpkin Pie!! He has had a great week and a half since then. We still have a spot in the right lung. Two more Chemotherapy Treatments in December. We have a reevaluation in January after his last Chemo.

His hair has decided to explode this week. He is looking quite "fuzzy".

Our Prayer Request is that the spot would be gone by December 31. We are trusting the Lord for complete healing in 2007. Please join with us on this..."where ever two or more are gathered"...

It snowed here this last week. The boys had a great time sledding!!! Included are some photos: Braiden and Joshua at Faith and Ryan's Wedding.

Check Up Results

We received the results from the last CT scan and Joshua still has a cancerous spot in his right lung. We are a little discouraged as things were going so well. We were expecting it to be gone.

Joshua has had a rough week. He had a double chemo on October 29 and two radioactive dyes put into his body for the CT scan. He was sick in the mornings most of the week. He seems to be getting stronger this week. He has also caught a very bad cold that cannot drop into his lungs.

Major Prayer Request: We would like you all to pray (In the name of the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS - JESUS CHRIST) that cold would be gone and that the cancer would be gone from his body and that he would be healed (Amen).

Thank you for your prayers...that's what we need most!!!!!!!!!

God's got an army...Not afraid to fight...Soldiers of the cross...Children of the Light...Warriors of Righteousness...With Healing in your hands...God's got an army marching through the land...let me hear a war cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
